After finishing second in the premier league last season under Jose Mourinho, everybody was expecting Manchester United to be a much threat to their arch-rivals.

But this season it seems Jose got his ‘third season curse’ back, as his side quite possibly out of the title race and could miss out the top four spot as well. But in this time of catastrophe, a small ray of hope emerges as Zidane’s son confirms that his father, the charismatic Frenchman is ready to manage again.

“We all know that my father loves football and loves to coach It’s most likely that he will return to coaching soon. Now he is resting because it’s something he needed. Even though managing Madrid is beautiful, it’s tough, with a lot of work.”

Enzo Zidane told Diario AS.

A real shaky start of the premier league and brawls with the mercurial midfielder Paul Pogba the rumours of Mourinho getting replaced by Zidane was circulating all over Manchester. But comebacks against the teams like Newcastle, Bournemouth, Juventus, and Chelsea those news remained as rumours only. Now, United could quite possibly miss out on top four but a late strike by Fellaini at Old Trafford against Young Boys secured the round of 16 spots for Jose’s side.

On the other hand, the whole world saw what Zidane did with that Madrid side when he took over from Rafa Benitez and made them win the prestigious Champions League trophy three consecutive times. Some say its luck, some say it’s his man-management that did the wonders for him.

Quite similar the situation here at Manchester and it could be a win-win situation for both the club and the Frenchman as well. The UCL specialist could also be a blessing for United as winning the competition is the only option left for the club to salvage something from this disastrous season.

However, Jose has a contract until 2020 and by his antics, it seems that he has the backing of the board. The brand of Football he is playing is not at all appreciated at a club like United’s stature and with Zidane ready to coming back at management Jose should be worried and get those crucial points in the upcoming fixtures.
