Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is weighing up a potential January bid to sign forgotten Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, according to popular media house in Spain, Marca.
The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour under Valverde this campaign and has been given just one chance to turn up in the whole season by the manager, a 1-0 Copa del Rey success over minnows Deportivo Leonesa in which the former Bilbao boss changed his whole first team.
However, despite the lack of chances since last one year, Suarez has been purely professional under the Spanish manager, but, according to reports now, the box to box midfielder now has learned that he won’t make it get over Valverde and instead he is understood to looking for a way out Barcelona.
Moreover, with the Catalan board also prepared to offload the player to write him off their wage book, Suarez is now reportedly looking at as early as January window to change the ship.

Sarri last Summer tried to sign the 24-year-old for the Italian side but with the player’s decision to remain in Spain as well as mismatch in negotiation the deal stalled. This Summer, Suarez was again linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but with the Catalan side demanding an excess of €30 million for the player, they backed out.

Sarri is looking for more option in the middle of the pitch and it is comprehended that he will be a backup to midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the squad. And with Chelsea fighting for four fronts at the moment and the midfielder’s vision, style and play between the midfield and forward lines suited with the far-reaching style of play Sarri precisely the midfielder can be quite useful in the long run this season.
Suarez was purchased by Barcelona as a squad player from Manchester City in 2013 but after failing to secure a permanent spot in the squad he inevitably left the club for in Sevilla one year later.
But after strings of impressive performance in his next two clubs, Sevilla and Villareal Barcelona re-signed him in the Summer of 2016. But unfortunately, in the two and half years, he managed to make 68 appearances in all competition.
