The Dutch forward looks to be rejuvenated since his return to his boyhood club last term and currently occupy the top scorer spot in the Dutch league. It was Van Persie’s sixth goal in his first seven appearances this season but it will be his last for at least three games.

For the second weekend running, the Dutch legend found the net in the 88th minute and guaranteed three points for Feyenoord but later lands himself in a controversy in the dying minutes of the game.

After curling home a brilliant free-kick he went for a rash challenge to opponent player Max Clark which served him a straight red, a third player to be shown a straight red card after two second-half red cards of Vitesse players Thomas Bruns and Daniljo Doekhi. The scenario was pretty much similar for the premier league fans who saw him faring well in a successful Premier League career with both Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, luckily RVP’s red card did not make any impact on the result of the game and the Dutch giants secured all three points, as Feyenoord kept pace with second-placed Ajax in the Eredivisie.

Van Persie’s incredible effort soon made Manchester United fans emotional who are somehow in a turbulent situation. The Premier League giants’ last season top scorer Romelu Lukaku has been having a tough time in the pitch and struggling to score while other attackers like Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard too depressing on the pitch.

And following van Persie’s superb display, some of the United fans look to break down in anger and shared their nostalgic emotion on the social media.
