With a midweek drama of the second fiddles in goal, gameweek 7 will be the time where we’ll get to see the two most expensive goalkeepers in the history of the game. Although Caballero and Mignolet did pretty well on goal when they were called for, it will finally be a faceoff between Allison and Arrizabalaga, and could also give a chance to see the actual duo of Keita vs Jorginho.
After a wonder goal against Liverpool in midweek, it will be time for Hazard to prove the world what he is capable of and a reminder that he is still a class apart when he is in form. Liverpool, on the contrary, will be fresh with their front three back in action together and a visit to Naples next midweek means this could be their biggest test this year, as Manchester City come knocking for next weekend’s Premier League drama.
Old Trafford is a confused place these days, of course, there are many reasons to culminate the situation but one of those happens to be their Home form. Mourinho will love the prospect of having an away game, even though against a side who are looking to gain back confidence over the past couple of weekends. Pellegrini’s men started miserably, but a win last week and a midweek thrashing give them the confidence which they needed badly to come back prominently in the league. A win against Manchester United and Noble and co. will have no better way to get things on track.
Everton’s biggest weak link has to be Tosun. They are playing excellent football after spending a lot over the summer but are majorly suffering because of their finishing and neither of Tosun or Calvert-Lewin is of any help, a problem that they have never been able to solve after Lukaku left. This might be the chance when Marco Silva has to perhaps give Richarlison or Bernard a start through the middle. Bernard seemed to be a confident guy when he was handed the game time against Arsenal but it might give me a start against Fulham who are working on collectively to get as much composure as possible.
Talking about wasteful in the front from Everton, it gave Arsenal a major win and arguably three very important points which could help them in the end. Emery is yet to implement the so-called “Emeryball” but somehow they are squeezing out points which matter. In gameweek 7, Arsenal will be against the biggest surprise package of this season till now. Watford will be looking to make Arsenal work at the back and especially with the red turn overturn for Kabasele they will be better off themselves at the back. It will be a game to not just watch for the neutrals but to enjoy.
Huddersfield has been the surprise team this season with no wins yet and still Wagner following his traditional attacking approach. It will be interesting how he shapes up over the next few games or he plans to tweak his system to grind out results as Spurs look to capitalize over their win over Brighton last week and close the gap between Liverpool and themselves. Pochettino knows what it takes to win in those games and look to shape better. Hopefully, gameweek 7 has a lot to offer when it comes to balanced attacking football from both sides with intense pressing. Only time will tell.
