Manchester United’s 3-0 opening day win over Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League was definitely a positive sign for The Red Devils and more importantly, for manager Jose Mourinho.

Having started off their Premier League season with two defeats in a row following a scrappy opening day victory against Leicester City, Jose Mourinho’s side were somewhat in a desperate need for this win and in their course to this massive victory on Wednesday evening, some of Manchester United’s top stars in the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and debutant Diogo Dalot all had an impressive outing in Switzerland.

Portuguese sensation Diogo Dalot, in particular, had an outstanding debut for The Red Devils and seemingly managed to impress manager Jose Mourinho, who now apparently feels that 19-year-old Dalot could very well become a mainstay at Manchester United for the next decade.

United manager Jose Mourinho, who opted to sign Dalot from his old FC Porto back in June, made a huge statement by labeling Dalot as the “best young full-back in Europe“.

Mourinho, in addition, also seemed to pretty impressed by English international Luke Shaw’s performance last night, after Shaw had recently suffered yet another injury scare against Spain at the recently concluded International Break.

I want to be also nice to Luke [Shaw] because I think both play at the same level. I think Diogo and Shaw, they played very, very, well.

Mourinho told reporters following United’s win last night.

Despite having started the season with numerous defeats, several of Manchester United’s top stars contributed to this huge and much-needed win for The Red Devils, as French sensations Paul Pogba led The Red Devils in an outstanding manner. Whereas, youngster Anthony Martial took full advantage of a rare start handed to him by Jose Mourinho, as the 22-year-old scored United’s final goal of the evening and rounded off a perfect 3-0 win.
