Neymar counts strong favourites out of the potential Premier League top 4

Former Champions League winner with Barcelona and Brazilian Superstar Neymar Jr. has dropped a bomb with his prediction for the probable top 4 of the Premier League.

The Premier League 2018-19 is tipped to be the most competitive in recent times, as the top clubs are all nicely balanced, with the mid table clubs also possessing enough fire powers. This promises the race for the Title and the Top 4 finish a dash to the end line.

In spite of these, defending Champions Manchester City are still the outright favourites for the title, with Liverpool FC considered the main big threat to knock them off their perch. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs are also in the race for the championship with their city rivals Arsenal FC, and Manchester United being considered as outsiders.

Well that is for the experts, bookies and fans. Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. has had a different view for the same. Although betting that Manchester City are the outright favourites to win the title, Neymar surprisingly omitted out, their biggest potential challengers and current league toppers Liverpool FC!

In an interview with the Daily Express, the Brazilian spoke about his potential Top 4 for the season in the World’s most popular and competitive league.

“It’s very hard, it’s very difficult, but Manchester City will win it,” Neymar said.

He added: “Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth is Tottenham.

“No Liverpool!”

This comes as a surprise, considering Liverpool FC have actually got the fire power in their squad to topple the champions and their perfect start to the season has echoed that. They are also the the only team to have defeated Manchester City convincingly last season, and that also on 3 different occasions!

The comments by Neymar has risen a lot of eye-brows. Neymar will be travelling to Liverpool for their opening round UEFA Champions League clash after Paris Saint Germain and Liverpool FC were drawn in the same Group C.

After his recent comments snubbing off his UCL opponents, Neymar will be likely for a very hostile reception from the Anfield Crowd – known for creating an intimidating “atmos-fear” for the travelling team.

Liverpool play PSG at Anfield on 19th September 2018, 12.30 am IST.
