As per a few reports last month, it was also seemingly suggested that the Besiktas defender had agreed on personal terms with the Merseyside giants, however, The Reds, on the other hand, are rather not too keen on further signings.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp definitely did enjoy a very hectic summer transfer window having signed the likes of Alisson Becker, Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita, and Brazilian star Fabinho, as well. However, according to a report from Turkish website Milliyet, Liverpool are still hoping on bringing in another defender to the club’s ranks, in the form of Vida.

Liverpool’s current defensive line-up has certainly been strengthened a lot compared to their previous seasons, with the likes of Virjil Van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan, Joe Gomez, and Vida’s fellow Croatian teammate Dejan Lovren providing a very strong back-up for The Reds.

Meanwhile, Vida, who recently returned to Besiktas after three weeks of holiday, is also reportedly wanted by Liverpool’s fellow Premier League rivals Wolves and Leicester City. But, the Croatian defender seemingly wants to represent the Merseyside club the most.

The summer transfer window will close on Thursday and as of this writing, Liverpool has almost three and a half days to wrap up the signing of Vida, which will also prove to be The Reds’ final signing of the summer.

West Ham United, on the other hand, also remain interested in signing the former Dinamo Kyiv center back and it’ll definitely be interesting to note what the future holds for Vida.
