Guedes, the 21 year old had a decent season with La Liga outfit Valencia, where he was loaned from French giants PSG. A good season with the Spanish side has attracted interests from various big clubs and Arsenal are said to be among them who may make a move for Guedes.

Cadena COPE claim Arsenal are in touch with PSG, but they will face competition from Serie A side Inter Milan, as the Italian giants are also keeping tabs on him. The Portuguese winger himself wants to make a move where he can get Champions League football, and in that terms he can choose either Inter or Valencia. He spent last season at Valencia where he scored 6 goals and had 11 assists to his name.

Guedes wants Champions League football

Goncalo is under contract with PSG till 2021, but he has been mostly on the fringes for the French club. Despite having a terrfic season with Valencia, the winger struggled for his country at the World Cup. He started the campaign as a first team player but was guilty of squandering many opportunities, and ended the campaign with only one assist to his tally.

Although the Gunners are interested, it has to be seen how much they can compete with Inter for the PSG star, as Gunners have no Champions League football on offer and adding to that is their reportedly paltry transfer budget. New coach Unai Emery wants a winger as the North London club are devoid of natural wingers after the departure of Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez last season.

Arsenal have spent almost all of their transfer kitty after the signings of Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Stephan Lichtsteiner, and with potentially Lucas Torreira’s arrival almost secured, it will be hard to find enough cash to lure Guedes at the Emirates.
