The former Premier League champions from the West London, Chelsea are lining up to seal double deals to strengthen their squad prior to the upcoming season.
Reportedly, Chelsea have been preparing two bids for the Russian CSKA Moscow superstar, Aleksandr Golovin and the Brazilian international goalkeeper from A.S. Roma Alisson Becker as a replacement of Thibaut Courtois, according to The Telegraph.
As per reports, Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’s contract with The Blues runs until the end of the season. So, the Chelsea management will be looking forward not to let the player leave for free and they will try to accept reasonable fees exceeding £50 million for the Belgian international.
The goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants Real Madrid. So, if Chelsea successfully manages to sell the player with the desired price range, they will definitely try to make a move for signing the Brazilian international Alisson Becker. Reports are saying the player’s parent club A.S. Roma has labeled a price tag of £60 million for the goalkeeper. In addition, Chelsea have to fight with their Premier League rivals Liverpool, who have also been scouting the Brazilian for a long time.
Apart from that, Chelsea are also leading the race to sign the Russian superstar Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow for £27 million.
The Serie A heavyweights Juventus and the League 1 side AS Monaco have been in talks to sign the player for a long time. But Chelsea have jumped into the race and are keen to seal the deal for the promising 22-year-old as soon as the ongoing FIFA World Cup ends.
Golovin has been a long-term target for the Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri for his side and the manager is now heavily linked with a move to Chelsea as the replacement of the Italian Antonio Conte. Apart from that, two Chelsea midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Pedro Rodriguez have the only year of contract remaining with the club. In addition, The Blues are also interested in selling the English midfielder Danny Drinkwater. So, it can be expected that they will go all out to land the Russian youngster at Stamford Bridge.
