Arsenal News: Gunners release a complete list of players leaving while a bizarre name is also listed

Gunners will be aiming to achieve top four finish season.


Arsenal have officially released a list of the players who will depart after the season officially ends on 30th June. The list of the players were released in the official website of Arsenal and there are some big names as expected.

The list includes club stalwarts such as midfielders Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla, and defender Per Mertesacker.

Per Mertesacker, the German defender although leaving Arsenal as a player but will be the new academy manager so he will be still attached with the North London side. Wilshere and Cazorla will be moving on, as the Spanish International is eyeing to come back in football after a long term injury absence. Cazorla has joined Villareal but Jack Wilshere hasn’t yet managed to find his new destination while there have been speculations that he may go to Turkey to play for Fenerbahce.

Marc Bola, Santi Cazorla, Alex Crean, Vlad Dragomir, Aaron Eyoma, Yassin Fortune, Ryan Huddart, Chiori Johnson, Hugo Keto, Per Mertesacker, Tafari Moore, Jack Wilshere

Players Signing first professional Contract:

Daniel Ballard, Dominic Thompson, Robbie Burton

Young players extending Contract:

Deyan Iliev, Tolaji Bola

New Scholars joining the Academy:

Ryan Alebiousu, Ben Cottrell, Matthew Dennis, Stanley Flaherty, Alfie Matthews, Bukayo Saka, Thomas Smith, Joshua Martin

Apart from these changes, there have been few more significant changes at the Arsenal this season, and the biggest of them has been the arrival of Unai Emery after the departure of Arsene Wenger.

Also there are some players that have arrived at the North London club ahead of this season. Swedish right back Stephan Lichtsteiner has joined the Gunners on a free transfer after his contract expired at Juventus. Bernd Leno also have arrived from German club Bayer Leverkusen. Greek defender Sokratis is poised to join while Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira is also set to join the Gunners after the completion of World Cup.
