Team News:

Germany midfielder Sebastian Rudy broke his nose in the last match against Sweden and had to go off in the first half. Joachim Loew, the German boss has confirmed that Wednesday will be too early for him to come as he is unavailbale. Germany also be without Jerome Boateng who was sent off in the last match. Mats Hummels is expected to come back in the side while it may be Mario Gomez up front for the defending Champions.

South Korea don’t have any injury concerns and they will field a strong squad. Their captain Heung Min Son, who was pictured crying after their loss against Mexico is expected to start.

Germany gave themselves a huge boost from the brink of elimination as they came back against Sweden. Toni Kroos came up with a brilliant strike to rescue their day and they must avoid any kind of catastrophe on Wednesday. Korea are effectively out of the tournament but they can sting the World Champions and Loew will be aware of that. A win must ensure their progress in the last 16 but even a draw can still take them out of the World Cup provided that Sweden beat Mexico in the other group match.
