France will meet Denmark to settle the final positions while Australia take on a spirited Peru side on the final match day of Group C on Tuesday. France currently are top with 6 points and favorites to top the group, while Australia still have a glimmer of hope to qualify for the knock out stages.
Where they stand:
France have won both the matches and on 6 points, Denmark won against Peru and drew against Australia and are on 4 points. Socceroos are on 1 point but still have a chance to qualify for the last 16 if France beat Denmark with some big margin providing they win against Peru.
France vs Denmark:
The European countries will be looking to do the final business of the group stage. The Danish though will have all to play for as they know something wrong can be catastrophic for them. France can give chances to some of their fringe players like Nabil Fekir and Ousmane Dembele, but Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line.
Probable Line Up:
Denmark: Schmeichel; Dalsgaard, Kjaer, Christensen, Larsen; Schone, Delaney; Poulsen, Eriksen, Sisto; Jorgensen
France: Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Kante, Matuidi; Mbappe, Fekir, Dembele; Giroud
Australia vs Peru:
Socceroos will be aking the field keeping in mind that they still have a slim chance to make it to the last 16 of the tournament. They face a Peru side who have shown a lot of promise but have finally succumbed due to lack of experience. Australia just have one injury problem, as striker Andrew Nabbout is out after he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the last match. Peruvians are out of the World Cup, but will be aiming to finish their adventure on a high.
Probable Line Up:
Australia: Ryan; Risdon, Sainsbury, Milligan, Behich; Jedinak, Mooy; Leckie, Arzani, Rogic; Juric
Peru: Gallese; Trauco, Rodriguez, Ramos, Advincula; Carrillo, Yotun; Tapia, Flores, Cueva; Guerrero
Both the matches will be live from 19.30 IST on Tuesday for the Indian viewers on SONY TEN 2 and SONY SIX.
