He was set to extend his contract as reports came out that he will commit his future but recent speculations suggest that the 26 year old will leave the Gunners.

The Daily Mirror now claims that after speaking with the Spaniard, who took over from Arsene Wenger last month, and being told he is unlikely to be a key figure next season Wilshere is ready to seek a fresh challenge.

Arsenal are said to have offered Wilshere £110,000-a-week to stay plus a £65,000 bonus if he plays and the team wins, taking him potentially up to £175,000-a-week.

But his meeting with Unai Emery may have been not fruitful as the Spanish manager has already roped in Xhaka to a new contract and wih Lucas Torreira set to join Arsenal from Sampdoria after the World Cup, there is not much options left for the England International.

Wilshere can join Crystal Palace, while West Ham and Wolve are also interested. There are also potential interest from Juventus and Milan as the 26 year old will be available for free. He will leave his boyhood club after an association with the club for more than a decade which is not what most of the Arsenal fans wanted.

Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey is also set to sign a new deal as the club believes he will sign a £200,000 per week offer.

Wilshere recently put up a cryptic message on social media where he talked about ‘closing the book’ and ‘turning the page’, which created a surmise among the supporters, and now it seems that he is set to leave the North London club.
