The news of the exciting Fabinho deal broke one day after the UEFA Champions League Final in which Liverpool succumbed to a defeat against Real Madrid. And now, the Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp has shared his thoughts on his new recruit.
While talking to Liverpoolfc.com, Klopp said, “We have signed a fantastic player, but someone who is an equally fantastic person I think,. His reputation as a character in the dressing room and his attitude in training has come through from everyone we speak to.”
The boss was ecstatic about the talented midfielder and he whole-heartedly admitted that the new signing is going to be an asset for the side. According to Klopp, Fabinho is a highest quality person and player and adding such a person would surely make Liverpool much stronger.
The manager further talked about the immense potential the Brazilian brings to the squad. “He [Fabinho] has ability and mentality to play at the highest level in a number of positions. He can play ‘6’, ‘8’ and ‘2’. This is cool”, Klopp commented.
The German also pointed out that the 24 year old is tactically very strong and football smart. According to the boss, “He improves our squad and there aren’t that many players you can say that about in this moment, because the quality we have already is so high.”
“I like that he is young yet experienced also, with a high number of games at a club that compete to win. Also, international caps for Brazil tells you something about him.”
In the end, the Liverpool manager made no mistake of acknowledging the fans’ support and love, something the club has cherished over the years.
