The Premier League game week 36 saw Manchester City continuing their winning form after defeating West Ham comfortably at the London stadium.
In his last match as a manager against Jose Mourinho’s side, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal FC went down 1-2 to an injury time goal against Manchester United. Top 4 contenders Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspurs registered victories while fellow Liverpool FC dropped valuable points against Stoke at home.
Here are the best goals of game week 36:
3) Aaron Cresswell (West Ham United) vs Manchester City:
West Ham might have escaped the drop zone but could not say the same about another hammering (1-4) from the Premier League champions at home.
English fullback Aaron Cresswell scored the consolation goal for The Hammers and it made it to our list. The West Londoners got a free kick just outside the box with 3 minutes to half time while trailing 0-2. Up-stepped the 3-times England international. The 28-year old curled the ball just enough over the wall and away from the reach of the diving Ederson into the bottom right corner.
2) Dusan Tadic (Southampton FC) vs AFC Bournemouth:
The Saints are making a late resurgence, after defeating AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at home to keep their hopes of survival intact. Dusan Tadic scored twice to hand them the victory. His winning goal made our list.
With the game tied at 1-1, Alex McCarthy sent a long clearance kick into the Bournemouth half which was chested down by Lewis Cook; but his poor first touch gave it away at the centre circle to Tadic. The Serbian International started his run down the middle almost unmarked. Just before entering the penalty box the Serb hit a brilliant left footer with his out-step that pierced through the converging duo of Nathan Ake and Simon Francis into the bottom left corner. Asmir Begovic could do nothing but watch the ball crash into the net.
1) Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) vs Leicester City:
Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace ensured their Premier League survival with a 5-0 thumping of former champions Leicester City at Selhurst Park. The Eagles started scoring in the most emphatic fashion through their star forward Wilfried Zaha after some exquisite build up play. This is our best goal of game week 36.
Patrick Van Aanholt played a quick one-two with Andros Townsend before Ruben Loftus-Cheek found the ball on the left. The English midfielder made a run towards the box before finding Yohan Cabaye. The Frenchman in turn found James McArthur at the centre of the penalty area, swarmed with defenders. The 30-year old showed great vision by putting the ball in the path of an unmarked Zaha with a cheeky back-heel. The Ivorian obliged by expertly steering the ball into the top right corner, beyond the reach of Ben Hamer.
