Two consecutive tricky wins on the road keep Chelsea’s hope of clinching a Champions League berth alive as they are now longing for slip-ups from fellow contenders Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur but must secure wins in four of their remaining Premier League fixtures.
The Blues have another difficult away outing on Saturday evening when they will travel to Wales to contest Swansea City and the Swans, who revived under Carlos Carvalhal, will be determined to spoil Chelsea’s ‘top four’ dreams in order ensure their own safety in the relegation battle. They are currently four points clear the drop zone but need a few more points to maintain their top-flight status and are eyeing to bounce back shaking off the shambles of last week’s thumping 5-0 defeat against the champions Manchester City.
