Salah’s LFC teammate Virgil Van Dijk was recently involved in an exclusive interview, during which the Netherlands international gave his take on his Egyptian teammate and eventually claimed that an in-form Mohammad Salah is certainly more than capable of doing damage to any team in the world.

With Liverpool FC currently scheduled to face-off against Premier League rivals Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, over the course of two legs in Merseyside and Manchester, Virgil Van Dijk has somewhat made a bold prediction ahead of The Reds’ clash against The Citizens.

Van Dijk claimed that Mohammad Salah is the type of player who is very much capable of doing severe damage to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, having already scored past them earlier in the PL season.

“That’s what everyone knows. That’s how we feel as well. He’s that kind of player that you just need to be on your best. When he is 100 percent and in the zone then he can beat anyone. There are ways to stop him but I’m not going to tell you because I don’t want our opponents to think about it!”

In addition, Van Dijk also regarded that due to Salah’s humble nature on the training ground the former Chelsea FC man has perfectly fit in within the ethic that Jurgen Klopp has built within the Liverpool squad.

“As defenders, we need to step up our game obviously and make sure we are aware. It makes us better. That’s what we want, that’s what it’s going to be like at a top club,” Van Dijk said. “Mo is a great guy and works hard, just like the rest of the guys.
