Team News:

For England, midfielder Jack Wilshere is out with a minor injury and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is unavailable after he picked up a knock in the last game, everyone else is fit to play. Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope may not get any game time as Pickgord is poised to start. It has to be seen whether Jamie Vardy starts or Southgate sticks to young Marcus Rashford up front. But words from England source say that it is Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck who is poised to start at Wembley on Tuesday.

For the Italians, some changes are expected to be made as Donnarumma is supposed to play ahead of Gianluigi Buffon in goal. Chiesa, who started against Argentina, is expected to make way for Belotti while Zappacosta may also get a start at left back ahead of De Sciglio.

Italy are coming back off a damaging loss against Argentina, that added insult to their World Cup failure wound. There are a lot of changes to be expected in the Italian set up, but for now they will have to find a short term solution and get some positive results. The English side on the other hand are blossoming with confidence after their recent win over Holland in Amsterdam. Gareth Southgate’s boys despite of missing some key names, will be keen to end their preparations on a high. There are still some World Cup spots up for grabs in the English squad, and it has to be seen who are players that can reach in that level.
