Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is happy at Arsenal and unlikely to move somewhere else anytime soon, his agent revealed.
The Gunners defender is currently a regular at the Emirates and despite of signing a new contract till 2023, there has been reports linking him with a move away from Arsenal to other clubs. Predominantly the links are related to Manchester United, but also Juventus and Napoli are rumored to be interested in the Spanish International.
But Bellerin’s agent Albert Botines confirmed that no offers has been made for his client and the defender has no intention of leaving Arsenal for now.
Speaking to Italian radio channel CRC, Botines said, “There’s no contact for Bellerin, no-one has sought me out. He’s happy, he’s recently renewed and he’s playing consistently. It’s true that every player always wants to grow, but right now it’s difficult [to see him leaving].”
He also added that there has been some interests from other clubs but no such offers have been made and the Gunners haven’t even made him aware of that.
Bellerin made a breakthrough in Arsenal first team in 2014-15 season
“If Italian clubs were interested in some of my clients I would listen, because just like Juventus and Napoli are not only a great team in Italy but also in Europe.”
“Every summer there is interest from clubs but Arsenal have not made me aware that any offers have arrived,” the agent further added.
Bellerin recently had taken a dig with an Arsenal supporter broadcast channel and that instigated the rumors of the decline of connectivity between him and the Arsenal supporters. That may well be another cause of all these recent rumors linking the former La Masia boy a move away from North London.
Bellerin is under contract with Arsenal till 2023
Bellerin has been a part of Arsenal’s first team plans throughout the season but missed their last league match due to a knee injury. He also is in contention to be in the Spain squad that travels for Russia in the World Cup this Summer.
