Squad Analysis:

The under performing Delhi have a balanced side after a long time in the IPL. They have been guilty of many chops and changes, but this time around they have a settled core with a new captain who has the experience of winning the coveted tournament.

Batting wise, the team will depend a lot on Gautam Gambhir as the veteran will haveto provide it up front. The young Indian batsmen like Iyer, Pant, Kalra and Shaw will be pivotal as well and will have a huge learning curve under Gambhir and Ricky Ponting, who is the coach of the Delhi Daredevils.

They also have decent all round options in both domestic and international sector, and with the arrivals of Amit Mishra, Jayant Yadav and Shahbaz Naddem, the spin department is both diversified and rich of experience as well.
