Arsenal FC’s thin hopes of qualifying for the next season’s Champions League were dealt the deadly blow after they were hammered 0-3 by league leaders Manchester City on Thursday night.

Their only realistic chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League remain with winning the UEFA Europa League. Currently, at 6th place, Arsenal are 8 points away from each of 5th placed Chelsea FC and 7th placed Burnley FC. Thus, their Sunday’s trip to the Falmer Stadium will be all about gaining some momentum ahead of their crucial Europa League clash against Italian giants AC Milan. For Brighton, the match will have a lot of significance. Currently at 12th position after thrashing Swansea 4-1 last week, the team from East Sussex are 6 points off 7th place, while 4 points ahead of the drop zone. A loss on Sunday can draw them closer to the drop zone with 9 games to play.
