According to the latest report from UK outlet Express, it looks like Chelsea’s star player Eden Hazard has refused to renew his contract with The Blues and is now instead of looking forward to a possible move to La Liga giants Real Madrid CF.
Eden Hazard has been linked to a potential move to 12-time European Champions Real Madrid, who are apparently in desperate need of bringing in the Belgian winger to the Santiago Bernabeu. And with Madrid’s disastrous start to the La Liga season, President Florentino Perez isn’t hesitant about splashing the cash this summer when the transfer window reopens, as he looks to land a few marquee signings in Madrid.
As noted, Hazard has also been one of Madrid’s top transfer targets, however, on the other hand, there is no doubt on the fact that Chelsea FC is also very reluctant to sell their star man and will be hesitant about letting their winger leave the club this summer.
Additionally, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, have also claimed that Chelsea has indeed offered a contract extension to Eden Hazard, whose current deal with The Blues expires in 2020. The former Lillie OSC superstar has apparently been offered a total of £300,000 per week by The Blues, but, Hazard is currently determined to make a move to Madrid.
Mundo Deportivo has also stated that Hazard is willing to wait for the Real Madrid management to come knocking once again and the Belgian star remains hopeful of finalizing his deal when the transfer window reopens at the end of this season.
The current transfer fee for Hazard is said to be £109 million as Los Blancos are reportedly ready to offer Chelsea a ton of cash in exchange for Eden Hazard.
Meanwhile, Hazard has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain and top Premier League club Manchester City, however, the Belgium international has reportedly told Real Madrid that he is willing to decline those offers from PSG and City as he looks to secure his move to Real Madrid by the end of this season.
