Arsenal will try and see it out against Ostersunds in the second leg of the Europa League last 32 on Thursday at the Emirates.
Injury and Team News:
The Gunners are without Alex Lacazette and Santi Cazorla, while Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is cup tied and unavailable to play. Aaron Ramsey also has a injury while Laurent Koscielny is doubtful due to some achilles issues.
The Gunners deployed Welbeck as a striker in Sweden but Eddie Nketiah can start at the Emirates on Thursday. Elsewhere David Ospina is expected to start while Reiss Nelson is also hopeful for a bigger role in the return leg after his substitute appearance in the last one.
The Swedish side have no such major injury problems and are expected to play a strong squad at the Emirates.
Arsenal have one step in the next round but they can’t be complacent. The Gunners swept to a 3-0 victory in the first leg at the Jamtkraft Arena in Sweden, allowing the Emirates Stadium side room to breathe ahead of the next encounter. Also a late penalty save from David Ospina helped the scoreline as Arsene Wenger can now openly go for his alternate options knowing that the passage to last 16 is all but assured.
It will be a nice trip for the Swedish side, who showed glimpse of promise last week. They will have to try and catch the Gunners but it will be pretty against the odds for them. Arsenal have much bigger games to come but it will be a nice way to start off the business end of the season for the North London side.
Arsenal: Ospina; Bellerin, Holding, Chambers, Kolasinac; Elneny, Maitland-Niles; Nelson, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi; Welbeck
Ostersunds: Keita; Mukiibi, Papagiannopoulos, Pettersson; Mensah, Edwards, Nouri, Sema, Widgren; Ghoddos, Hopcutt
Arsenal were 3-0 winners in the last leg as Monreal and Ozil scored while Papagiannopoulos scored past his own net.
