Indian footballer, a U-19 Delhi kid Luv Kapoor has made history last week after he became the first ever Indian to sign a professional contract for a Spanish side which played in a higher division previously.
The 19-year-old has signed for fourth level Spanish Club Palamos CF (Tercera Nacional division) which is the oldest football club in Catalonia and third most established in Spain.
Luv who is a defensive midfielder in terms of his professional career has not played for India at any young level till now but had been trying his luck in nations like England and France giving trails to different clubs and academies.
During the procedure, he a while back joined a Spanish Football foundation, ‘Perfect Football’ that trains youthful players and makes footballers to play in European Leagues through trials and preparing openings with the European Clubs.

The foundation masterminded a trail for Luv for the fourth division side and purportedly after the seeing the talent of the player the Spanish player chose to sign the player and Indian football’s overseeing body AIFF prepared all the transfer courses of action for the player.
This is the first run through in 120 years of the club’s history that they have marked a player of Indian Origin.
Subsequent to signing for the side, the Delhi kid revealed his delight and proposed that he now needs to enhance his game to join a superior top division Spanish side in future and furthermore would like to play in India for an ISL/I-League club.

At a public interview in Spain Luv stated, “I am very happy with this experience. I want to help the team achieve their goals.”
Aside from Luv, the Spanish academy also right now have another Indian root player in their positions, Ishaan Sahi who is likewise preparing with the fourth division side and furthermore playing the class for a nearby club Calonge (Tercera Catalana). Although he has not penned down any arrangement starting at yet with any side.
