Transfer Update: Manchester giants will be rivaling for this German sensation who wants a Premier League switch

The 'next big thing' in German football is dreaming a Premier League switch.

Winter transfer window has just been over but the teams are already planning for the summertime when some of Europe’s hottest prospects are like to complete their ‘dream’ moves.

One such name is RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, the German international forward, who has named a few clubs where he wishes to ply his trade in near future. The 21-year-old prolific marksman has put on alert two Premier League rivals – Manchester United and Manchester City, where he would like to play after parting ways with the Bundesliga big boys.

“It would be a lie to say in England you’d not like to play for Manchester United or Manchester City.

“If you take Germany, it would be a lie to say that you would not like to play for Bayern.

“Spain – Barca or Real. There are great clubs in every league. Italy or France would not be my leagues, but the other three.

“There are so many clubs you’d like to play for. I don’t want to tie myself down.”

Werner revealed in a recent interview with Sport1.

He has already netted 7 times in 10 senior outings for Die Mannschaft and bagged 37 goals in 61 outings so far for Leipzig since completing his summer move from VfB Stuttgart back in 2016. His prolific run earned him attention among European heavyweights and the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal are also rumored to have inquired about Werner’s availability.

Although he is under contract at Leipzig until 2020, he has reportedly rejected a contract extension offer and is weighing up options where he wants to switch after the upcoming FIFA World Cup. His current employers, however, are known as the notorious negotiators and will be demanding a hefty for their striking sensation whom they bought for as low as €10 million. Manchester United are not convinced with Romelu Lukaku despite paying Everton £75 mil for the big Belgian and a move for Werner is quite likely in summer who will be an in-demand name if he continues his scintillating goal-scoring run in the World Cup as well.
