The latest signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who came as a part of the Alexis deal confirmed that he has been an Arsenal supporter since his childhood and is ecstatic to become a Gunner.

He spoke to the club after his move and in the first interview the Armenian said some strong words.

“I’m very happy that we could finish this deal and I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream come true because I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I’m here, I’ll do my best for this club to create history.”

The former Manchester United player also said that he has been an Arsenal supporter since his childhood days and wanted to play for the Gunners one day, speaking of the reason the new Arsenal midfielder added that he was inspired by Thierry Henry and was ‘in love’ with the attributes of the French legend.

“What can I say? It’s better that I don’t say anything and they can see it when I play for Arsenal,” he added when asked about his playing style.

Thierry Henry has inspired Mkhitaryan to join Arsenal
The 29 year old became a sensation and target for many elite clubs since his Borussia Dortmund days, especially under Tomas Tuchel. He joined Manchester United last season under the nose of Arsenal who were also very keen, much to the despair of Arsene Wenger.
But Wenger gets his man finally in a certain bizarre way, which has also involved the outgoing of Chilean Alexis Sanchez.
Mkhitaryan trained with his teammates on Tuesday but can’t take any part in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup Semi Final against Chelsea as he is cup tied. Also the Armenian was handed the no.7 shirt vacated by Alexis Sanchez, but he won’t be able to play for the Gunners with the same shirt number in their Europa League campaign for the remainder of the season.
