During game week 23, a total of 31 goals were scored, and as always there were some stunners. Here are the best ones from that list.

Special Mention:

Sadio Mane (Liverpool FC) vs Manchester City:

The Senegalese forward scored a cracker at Burnley a few weeks earlier with his weaker left foot. This week he followed it up with a similar one. After hitting the post a minute or two earlier and missing the opportunity to make it 3-1, the Liverpool number 19 found the ball just outside the City penalty area from team mate Mohammed Salah, while in acres of space. The star man hit a thunderous left footer with his left that gave Ederson no chance while finding the top left corner.

4) Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC) vs Manchester City:

The Egyptian scoring for Liverpool is as regular a weekly event as Sunday being a holiday. The Reds’ star man scored another beauty against the leaders on game week 23. His through ball was intercepted by a sweeping City goalkeeper Ederson; but his poor clearance fell into the path of the Egyptian at the centre of the field. The man with 17 Premier League goals this season, scored an outrageous 30 metre chip over the head of the retreating City keeper to score his 18th.

3) Antonio Valencia (Manchester United) vs Stoke City:

The Ecuador international marked his return to the Premier League with arguably his best goal for the Red Devils. The United full back latched onto Paul Pogba’s cross before cutting inside. He got the better of youngster Josh Tymon before unleashing a left footed curler that gave Butland no chance.

2) Joe Lolley (Huddersfield Town) vs West Ham United:

The English winger scored his first ever Premier League goal in quite extraordinary fashion during game week 23. It was similar to Antonio Valencia’s strike. The 25-year old got the better of Aaron Cresswell, Pedro Obiang and Mark Noble while cutting inside from the right flank. The former Kidderminister man curled in a brilliant left footer giving Adrian no chance.

1) Roberto Firmino (Liverpool FC) vs Manchester City:

The Brazilian produced another of his unputdownable performances that propelled Liverpool to being the first side in the league to hand the league leaders a defeat this season. His brilliant goal, with the game nicely poised at 1-1, is our best one of game week 23. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s ball for “Bobby” was brilliantly kept in control after he got the better of John Stones in a physical tussle. With an onrushing Ederson making the angle narrow, the Liverpool number 9 produced a delightful chip that slowly and beautifully dropped into the City goal in spectacular fashion.
