Arsenal are not in any talks with Bordeaux to sign Malcom, stated the club’s President Stephane Martin.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Brazilian forward Malcom from Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, with a £44.4 million deal is expected to be on the cards, but the club president insisted that the North London club have made no contact for the 20 year old.
“Things are clear with his agents. He has not been extended and secured this summer to give him away this winter,” Martin told L’Equipe.

He also said that Arsenal can try to make a move for the 20 year old but it will be hard for the Premier League side to lure him from the Ligue 1 club. He insisted he doesn’t want to sell the winger mid season but there have been reports that his agent has flown to London to secure a deal.
There has been also a claim by the Bordeaux manager that Liverpool are another club who are interested in him and have joined the race with Arsenal.
“If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go,” he told a press conference.

“He’s asking himself what’s the best thing for him, for his future. That’s logical. If he’s asking questions and he still manages to make assists or score goals, it’ll be fine,” the Bordeaux manager added.
The 20 year old also assisted in Bordeaux’s most recent match against Troyes, so his commitment can’t be questioned.
Malcom is expected to join the Gunners as a replacement of Alexis Sanchez, who is on the verge of joining Manchester United after declining to extend his contract at the Emirates. Gunners are also reported to be interested to add few more players before the January transfer window as defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin also left for Valencia.

Arsenal have made business with the French club in the past, most recently when Marouande Chamakh joined the Gunners from Bordeaux in 2010.
