Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Manchester United forward is not expected to join Arsenal as a part of Alexis Sanchez deal

There hasn’t been any agreement that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will move to Arsenal as a part of Sanchez deal, according to various reports.

Mkhitaryan is set to remain a United player

BBC reports that the Armenian is not a part of the deal that will take Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford, and also reported that the Chilean has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United that contains a wage of £400k region per week.

He is not demanding to leave Old Trafford at all costs but has a different footballing philosophy to manager Jose Mourinho and that has raised the possibility that he may depart from the Manchester club. He has played 22 times for this season and has scored twice for the Red Devils.

But it is understood that both the clubs are not close regarding the 28 year old’s future and even the Armenian himself is more likely to take it slow and in no rush to make a move from United, where he is contracted till 2020.

Alexis Sanchez has been a topic of a move away from Arsenal and recently the Red Devils have overtaken their city neighbours to be the most advanced team to land Sanchez, and Arsene Wenger even said on Sunday that a decision will be taken within next 48 hours. And it seems that Jose Mourinho has managed to get his man from Arsenal and the want away 29 year old will be a Manchester United player soon.

Sources with knowledge of the situation say they understand Chelsea are also interested in signing Sanchez.

But when asked if this was the case by reporters on Tuesday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said: “I don’t know but I don’t think so.”

Mkhitaryan joined United in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund, and the German club have announced that they won’t be bidding to resign the forward.
