The Gunners boss spoke to the media after the match and he was questioned about Sanchez, who was left out of the squad due to some anonymous reason, mostly which was interpreted as the Chilean is nearing a move away.

But the Gunners boss has come up with the words that the 29 year old didn’t refuse to play, but Wenger himself left him out due to the ongoing transfer speculations.

“I don’t master the rhythm of that, but it could happen today or tomorrow, or not at all, that’s why I didn’t take a decision. I didn’t want to travel with him and suddenly he goes somewhere,” the Gunners boss said revealing that Sanchez leaving Arsenal can happen within a couple of days.

“Will he go or not? I do not know, but at the moment it’s the transfer period and in this kind of period you try to use the players that are completely focused at being at the club.”
But one more thing Wenger has confirmed is that if the Chilean leaves, they will bring his replacement for sure, revealing also that nothing is concrete regarding the news of Bordeaux player Malcolm.

Arsene Wenger was quite sympathetic for his want away Chilean disciple and mentioned the period as a difficult one for Alexis Sanchez.
“Alexis would have played, but it’s a difficult period for him. He has always been committed until now, but he could have moved yesterday, today or not at all. It will be decided in the next 48 hours, it was a bit different for him because he was on standby a little bit, that’s why I decided not to do it. He did not refuse to play,” Arsene said.
Both the Manchester clubs are a possibility for Alexis Sanchez if he leaves Arsenal while Mourinho’s United are favorites.
