Sanchez is poised to join Manchester City

It seems that Kevin de Bruyne has accidentally given a hint that Sanchez will eventually leave Arsenal and join the Premier League leaders.

The Belgian was asked by the reporters about whether Sanchez will join them and he was initially very non committed to his answer, but ended up giving some hints regarding the Chilean’s potential move.

“He’s a very good player,” he told reporters. “Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period. We don’t have to [think] about that anyway. If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn’t come we do it with the team we have.”

The Belgian also added that the team is doing great and everybody have been playing well, but Sanchez’s arrival will certainly add some more flare to their squad.

These words have been enough to raise the bar of the speculation that the 29 year old Chilean may well leave Emirates this January. It has been a season long subject regarding Sanchez’s departure from Arsenal and De Bruyne’s latest comments have just perhaps put the final nail in the coffin for the ultra optimistic Arsenal supporters.

De Bruyne himself is close to pen down a six years contract extension at the Etihad as City look at him a prospect for the upcoming future, which looks pretty rosy at this moment.

“We are still in negotiations,” he said. “I am waiting for an offer from the club but my agent has been on holiday for three weeks. There is nothing really new for the moment.”

Sanchez may well be playing his last game as an Arsenal player if he features on the Gunners’ Carabao Cup Semi final match against Chelsea on Wednesday.
