Premier League football didn’t let us down on new year’s eve and we witnessed some majestic strikes in the last gameweek as well.

Here are the goals of the game-week 22:

Special mention:

Anthony Martial(Manchester United) vs Everton FC:

The French attacker was finally back on the scoring sheet after scoring a gem of a goal against The Toffees. Latching onto fellow Frenchman Paul Pogba’s out stepped pass just outside the penalty box, the 22-year old took a touch to set himself up brilliantly, before placing the ball expertly into the top right corner beyond the reach of Jordan Pickford.

3) Luka Milivojevic(Crystal Palace) vs Southampton FC:

The Serbian midfielder became the number one villain in the eyes of the Palace supporters after his last-minute penalty miss cost The Eagles a victory against leaders Manchester City. However, he made amends with his winner at St. Mary’s for the London club. Andros Townsend squared the ball in for the 26-year old a few yards outside the penalty box. The Palace Number 4 curled in the moving ball with precision, and the ball went flying into the bottom left corner leaving Alex McCarthy grounded to his spot.

2.) Jesse Lingard(Manchester United) vs Everton FC:

Jesse Lingard has been one of the players of the season for Jose Mourinho’s side and he proved it once again when he scored at Goodison Park. The 25-year old made a brilliant solo run, cutting inside from the left that saw him get the better of three Everton players in Michael Keane, Ashley Williams and James McCarthy. His excellent right-footed curler flew into the top right corner giving a full stretched Pickford no chance.

1.) Sadio Mane(Liverpool FC) vs Burnley FC:

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Philippe Coutinho had been grabbing much of the spotlight in recent matches for Liverpool FC, while the other member of the FAB 4, Sadio Mane was a little far from his top form. With both Coutinho and Salah injured and Firmino rested, Mane was given the added responsibility in a tough away fixture at Turf Moor. The Senegalese stormed back to form while scoring our Goal of the Week. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross was deflected off Phil Bardsley’s back onto the path of the Liverpool winger. After stopping the ball with his right foot, the Liverpool number 19 produced a swift turn on the edge of the penalty area, before unleashing a thunderous left-footer that shattered the roof of the Burnley goal.
