Arsenal will make a short trip across London to meet Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Thursday night as the busy Christmas period is already on the way. Gunners will be eyeing to rectify their torrid form away this season against a struggling Palace side.
Injury and Team News:
Arsenal are without the services of Santi Cazorla and along with him fellow Spanish player Nacho Monreal is out as well. Frenchman Olivier Giroud is out with a hamstring problem for six weeks while Ramsey will also take no part at Selhurst Park. Lacazette is expected to start while it is to be seen whether Ainsley Maitland Niles will get a nod ahead of Sead Kolasinac at left back.
Shkodran Mustafi will be back in the starting line up
Crystal Palace will be missing a host of players as Mamadou Sakho, Wickham, Ward, Delaney all are either missing or doubtful due to injury problems. Benteke is back in the squad and Puncheon is involved as well despite of being charged due to possession of offensive weapon.
Gunners are currently sixth in the Premier League table and they need a win away this time around. The North London club have been disappointing in their travels this season but will be eyeing to turn the table against Palace, who themselves are currently unbeaten in six Premier League games. Their last home match was a victory against fellow London club Watford and with Benteke coming back to form, Roy Hodgson must be hoping to come out with something against Gunners on Thursday. Wenger needs to address his defense as they were awful here last season, loosing 3-0 at the hand of the Eagles.
Probable Line Up:
Arsenal lost 3-0 at Selhurst Park last season as Townsend, Cabaye and Milivojevic scored the goals.
