Manchester City will be making a trip to South Wales to consolidate their position at the top of the Premier League table as Pep Guardiola’s men will be eyeing a win against a relegation threatened Swansea side.
Injury and Team News:
Swansea are without defender Kyle Bartley. Their boss Paul Clement will be hoping to field a strong and mostly unchanged squad that won a crucial match against West Brom in the weekend. Wilfried Bony is expected to start as striker while they may stick with a four men back line. Routledge is in doubt with a muscle tightness but may start while Bony will feature against his old team.
Manchester City are missing John Stones and Benjamin Mendy, but Vincent Kompany’s latest injury also adds him in the absents list. City boss Guardiola may start Mangala at the defense and Gundogan may take part in the midfield.
City are running away with the title but they can’t really loose focus and take it for granted. Their Manchester Derby win has taken them 11 points clear at the top and they have chance to hit Swans hard on Wednesday. They equaled 14 match straight winning record and they may create new on midweek if they win against the Wales side.
For the home side, it is more of trying to get one point against the high flying City side now. Bony scored a massive goal for them last week to give a win, but they still are 19th in the table and have really been poor this season. Manager Paul Clement will know his limitations and will be hoping a solid defensive performance to come back with anything.
