Manchester United will travel to Vicarage Road for an interesting tie against Watford on Tuesday and the Red Devils will be aiming to continue their winning form to keep tabs with leaders Manchester City.
Injury and Team News:
Jose Mourinho’s side are doubtful with Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick is out as he is recovering from an irregular heart rhythm. Marcos Rojo may well be rested if either Bailly or Jones recover to play. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba both are available for selection and the Swedish might start ahead of Lukaku.
Pogba is available for United
Watford captain Troy Deeney returns after completing a three-match suspension. Defender Miguel Britos is a doubt after suffering a knock in the 3-0 victory over Newcastle and will be given a late fitness test. Defenders Craig Cathcart (knee) and Younes Kaboul (hamstring), midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah (knee) and forward Isaac Success (knee) are likely to miss out once more. Deeney is expected to lead the line for the Hornets if Gray is not fit, Brazilian Richarlison will also start with former Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes to start under the goal.
United are currently 8 points behind leaders Man City and Jose Mourinho will be emphasizing on decreasing the gap at the top of the table. The Watford trip will be a tricky one as so far the Hornets have been decent this season, as their 8th in the League table.
Watford boss Marco Silva though should also be eyeing for 3 points at home against a Red Devils side who has had defensive frailties. Watford had beaten United 3-1 last season and there is definitely a possibility that the London side may again wrap up all the points this time around.
United, who have been far from their best according to their manager, will have to put up a prudent show as it will not be easy for them.
