Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes Arsene Wenger is still the right man to carry forward Arsenal. The former Invincible stated that his fellow compatriot is still can’t be replaced and should be trusted at the club.
Pires thinks that Arsene is still the apt person to manage Arsenal, despite the Gunners are 12 points off the top and have already lost 4 games this season in the league.
Pires and Wenger have good bonds between them
“For me, he’s still the man,” he said. “He has done well for a long, long time.
“Sometimes it’s difficult with a lot of pressure from the fans and media, but he’s always very relaxed and confident.”
“He always believes in the players, and that’s a positive. We lost the last game against Man City, but City have played really very well since the beginning of the season.”
The Frenchman also added that he never doubts the quality of the squad as there are enough quality players in the side, but says maybe the team needs a bit more spirit and commitment.
He spoke to ESPN in Singapore where the Gunners legends took on Liverpool legends for a friendly exhibition, which the Merseyside side won 3-1.

The former France man also said that he is enjoying Singapore and is thrilled by the support of the fans, also looking forward to meet them.
“And, of course, we’ll take on the Liverpool legends again. We want to win, but most important is to enjoy the game and put on a good show for the fans,” he added.
