Chelsea vs Manchester United : Preview, Lineups, TV guide and Betting odds

Jose Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge to face his old side on Sunday.

Beyond doubt, the fixture of Chelsea vs Manchester United is going to be the main attraction of Premier League gameweek 11.

The two sides are all set to lock horns at Stamford Bridge on Premier League Super Sunday. Chelsea are going to come to the fixture following a convincing defeat against AS Roma in the Champions League encounter, while United managed to snatch three points against Benfica in the group league of the European competition. In Premier League, both teams won their last outings by the narrowest of margins. Chelsea got a 1-0 away win against Bournemouth while United got a commendable victory against Spurs.

Chelsea vs Manchester United team news:

The home team will be missing Victor Moses for sure. Gary Cahill is fit and is expected to return to the starting lineup. The major concern of the boss, however, will be about the availability of N’Golo Kante. The midfielder has been out with a hamstring injury, but his inclusion might prove to be very crucial for Chelsea.

Manchester United, on the contrary, are going to miss a lot of first team names. Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are all out. Jesse Lingard also got a back problem during the last match against Benfica and he will not start the proceedings on Sunday.

Following are the possible lineups of the two teams.

The coaches are saying:

Ahead of the big fixture, Antonio Conte said, “We are struggling a lot, because we are facing a lot of important problems. To solve these problems is not simple. In this moment you can see if you are a winner or a loser. It’s important to show our character, to be strong, to face the problem in the right way.”

On the other hand, Mourinho was more vocal, “I have to admit it’s a little bit different but in the end I want to win like I did with Inter. They want to win like they did last season and it’s just one more day.

He further replied on his return to the Bridge, “In a couple of years it will be even more natural and in four or five years probably no one will remember that I was Chelsea manager and it becomes absolutely normal. It isn’t a big thing. It’s normal, it’s football, it’s professionalism. One day you are in one club, the next day you’re in another club.

“It’s a big thing because it’s a big match, because it’s a big opponent, because it’s the champions. It’s one of these matches between the top teams in the country. But from the emotional point of view, it’s just one more game,” he added.
