Since joining from Bolton last season, Holding has had a topsy turvy career so far at Arsenal. There has been plenty of ups but certain downs as well in his time at the Emirates, and the defender believes that it is the way to move forward.

Arsene Wenger spoke about his progress and said that it is a learning curve for Holding early in his days at Arsenal, and the defender seconded his manager.

Rob Holding has already won one FA Cup and two Community Shields

“It’s part of the game and you’re going to come across it,” he said. “You’re not going to have a career that’s going to go straight up to the point where you’re at the top of wherever you want to be.”
The England youth international also said that he has been working out at the club to improve every day. The resilience and guts to come back and react to a downfall defines the character of a player, and Holding is getting the help from Arsenal support staffs to work out in gym and on the pitch. The former Bolton man believes he is slowly getting his confidence back and wants to play as he used to.

A goal for Holding at BATE

Holding will start in the Thursday’s Europa League match against Red Star Belgrade and he said that the way the preparations are taken is different to Premier League. Also he kept a clean sheet last time in Serbia in front of a daunting crowd and atmosphere, these things will ultimately help him to adapt in different conditions, the defender said.
Holding will be a part of Arsenal’s back three along with Elneny and Debuchy on Thursday in the continued absence of Chambers and Mustafi.
