Arsenal and Chelsea both are keeping tabs on RB Leipzig keeper Peter Gulacsi and may make a move for him, according to reports.

The Hungarian goal keeper is wanted by both the clubs as both the London clubs look for their future replacements of their current custodian. ESPN reported that they will continue monitoring his situation and will make the next step according to that.

Arsenal are interested in him because they want a successor of Petr Cech. Cech, who has 18 months left in his Arsenal contract will be 37 at the end of his contract. The Czech joined the Gunners from Chelsea in 2015 and is regarded the undisputed numero uno at Arsenal for now. Wenger has Ospina and Martinez in his kitty but it is reported that the French manager doesn’t have that faith that they can be a proper replacement for Cech.

The closest of Cech could have been Szczesny, but the Pole joined Juventus this summer.

Chelsea also want to bring Gulacsi because they fear they have lost Courtois to Real Madrid. The Belgian shot stopper hasn’t signed anew deal and reports come that the Spanish giants are interested in him. Apart from Courtois, the Blues don’t have any reliable keepers as Willy Caballero is also at the wrong end of his career.

Gulacsi, the former Liverpool keeper is currently at RB Leipzig and has impressed in Bundesliga. He has started all the Champions League and league games for them and reportedly both the London clubs have sent scouts for him.

The Hungarian being played at Liverpool for five years means that he falls in the homegrown players quota, which is another thing that will encourage the clubs to land him. The 27 year old has represented Hungary for 14 times and joined Leipzig from their sister club RB Salzburg in 2015.
