Revealed: Reiss Nelson names the Arsenal stars who have helped him to settle

Arsene Wenger has high hopes with the young Arsenal sensation.


Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson spoke to the club website and revealed the players that have supported him to settle at his new surroundings, in the means of a significant upgrade in squad role.

Reiss Nelson had a tremendous pre season and since then he has made 6 appearances for Arsenal, all in Cup and Europa League. But the teenage sensation is one of the top talents in England and his progress is closely monitored.

He made huge steps this season admits it wasn’t easy at first but his teamamtes have helped him out.

“It was different coming from Hale End to London Colney. The coaching is so much different and the environment – you’ve got loads of first team players and world class players there,” he told Arsenal’s official website.

The youngster said that Alex Iwobi has always helped and has seen that if he is okay as well as new signing Alexandre Lacazette, who Nelson refers as a nice guy.

“Ozil, Hector as well, those are the boys, all the boys really, that have taken me in as a person and a footballer as well.”

The German wizard is an admirer of Nelson

The 17 year old, turns 18 in December, has been progressing rapidly and even he is surprised by his entities. The teenager is loved by the Arsenal fans and that is very important for Nelson according to him.

“It’s a dream come true to see fans wearing Nelson 61 on the back. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of and now seeing it with my own eyes is amazing.”

Nelson also added that though he has achieved this much so fast, his work doesn’t stop here and he will have to work a lot harder to push himself for a starting spot at the club in the next few years.

Nelson will be expecting to start in Arsenal’s midweek Europa League tie against Red Star Belgrade, a win of which will take Arsenal on the verge of qualifying in the knock out stage of the competition.
