Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah is about to receive a massive 650 percent pay rise in his new contract, according to various reports. Sun reports that Arsenal want to reward the teenage wonderkid after he burst into the scenes in a Carabao Cup tie earlier this week.

Eddie Nketiah joined Arsenal academy a couple years ago from Chelsea and has been a prolific goal scorer in the club’s youth levels. He has scored a total of 28 goals in his first season at North London and that prompted Wenger to include him in Arsenal’s pre season tour. he made occasional appearances there and also made is professional debut for the senior debut in an Europa League tie against BATE Borisov.

But Nketiah went into the record pages when he scored a brace in Arsenal’s midweek tie against Norwich in the Carabao Cup. He came on and scored on his first touch, later added another to give the Gunners a crucial victory. That has prompted the club to hike his pay check and keep hold to the teenage talent, as his contract is appear to end after next season.

The Gunners want to tie him down with a wage reportedly around £15,000 per week, while he is on a £2,000 per week at present, so that is a 650 percent hike in wage for the young sensation.

Arsenal are already set to loose two of their biggest stars as both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are set to leave Emirates next season as they rejected contract renewal offers from Arsenal, so it’s high time that they don’t loose any more players from the squad.
