Arsenal are interested in Palmeiras and Brazil U17 starlet Alan de Souza Guimaraes, but face a tough competition from Real Madrid, according to various reports. The Gunners scouts are impressed by his attributes and wants to bring him at the Emirates.

US publication Sports Illiustrated has stated that Gunners are ready to make a move but it will be tough for them as Real Madrid have already made a verbal agreement with the teenager. Also Spanish outlet AS claimed that Alan has agreed to join Real next summer.

But the 17 year old can be lured at the Emirates according to Arsenal officials and they are working hard on it.

The midfielder currently plays for Palmeiras after joining them from Sao Paulo despite interests from Inter Milan. He was one of the best players as Brazil won the South America Under 17 competition. He has flourished and continued his rapid progress in the current FIFA U17 World Cup in India. His passing ranges, movement and vision has been impressive and that has made Arsenal and other Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United interested in him.

Alan has a release clause of 50 million euros and Arsenal will have pay Palmeiras that amount to beat the other rivals. While Manchester United are also repported to be interested and may make a move next summer for the youngster.
