India have shuffled their squad a bit for the upcoming three match T20 series against New Zealand that starts from November 1. Young batsman Shreyas Iyer and Hyderabad bowler Mohammad Siraj has got their call up in the team.
India will start their shortest format extravaganza at Kotla on 1st November. Their 2nd match is in Rajkot on 4th while the final match of the series will be played in a new stadium in Trivandrum on November 7.
Shreyas Iyer and Mohammad Siraj both have been included in the team after some consistent good performances in the domestic arena. The Mumbai batsman has done well in Ranji as well in IPL for his team Delhi Daredevils, while Siraj has been one of the emerging talents of this country in the past season. Ashish Nehra is also picked for the qst T20 match in Kotla, which will be his last match in the International cricket.

Kohli will lead the side and Kedar Jadhav was excluded from the squad. And there is still no signs of Yuvraj Singh or Suresh Raina in the Indian team.
“Shreyas Iyer has been prolific in all forms of the game, be it day’s format, be it one-day or T20 or IPL, you name anything he has been performing,” MSK Prasad, India’s chairman of selectors, said in Mumbai on Monday. “We will sit with this policy that if we pick a player, we will give him an extended rope, and we will continue with him and nurture him and see that he goes on to become successful. So is with Siraj. He is doing well, he has been duly recognised and rewarded as well,” Prasad added.
While the chief selector also elaborated that Ashish Nehra’s selection in the first eleven in Kotla will depend on the team management and captain.
