The Premier League champions, Chelsea have bounced back into the league following a thrilling 4-2 home victory over Watford on Saturday. Although The Blues had to suffer their worst to win the game, the victory has definitely boosted their confidence up to a few extent.
Chelsea started the game on a very positive note taking the lead in the 11th minute of the game. The ex-Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez received a ball from Eden Hazard at the right end of the Watford box. The winger did no mistake in curling the ball into the back of the net.
But in the 45th minute of the game, Watford levelled the scoreline following a mess inside of the Chelsea box. A Watford corner was dealt well by David Luiz. But the deflected ball was shot by the visitors’ midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure. The shot had enough power to beat the goalkeeper.
In the second half, surprisingly the visitors took the lead of the game following a massive error by the Chelsea defenders. The Argentine Roberto Pereyra received a ball with just Thibaut Courtois ahead of him. He sent the ball past him to take the advantage. In the 71st minute, Chelsea again equalised the scoreline following a fantastic header by the super-sub Michy Batshuayi.
When everyone considered the game to be concluded with sharing of points, Chelsea wing-back Cesar Azpilicueta came as the saviour, as he scored with the head from the point-blank range in the 87th minute of the game. Later in the 94th minute of the game, Michy Batshuayi scored his second and the fourth for his team. This victory has pushed Chelsea again at the fourth spot on the table. A few victories in the next fixtures will definitely put the current English champions back on the track.
