Alexis Sanchez has been on the pitch at the same time just thrice along with Alexandre Lacazette, but that has been enough for the Chilean to assess his new teammate.
Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal this summer and when Alexis Sanchez was asked about the Frenchman, the Chilean termed him as an excellent player.
“When he has a goalscoring chance, he is a good finisher,” the Chilean spoke to Arsenal media. He also added that Lacazette is a classic striker, something exactly what Arsenal required for a long time.
Lacazette has scored four goals this season so far since his arrival at the Emirates and all of them has come in the Premier League, more specifically all have come at the Emirates.
Speaking of his understanding with Lacazatte, Sanchez was quite content regarding their works on the pitch.
“I believe we have [a good understanding]. We haven’t played that many games together but when we have, I like how he plays.” It will be seen at the latter end of the season how much the duo can link up in Arsenal’s benefit unless Sanchez is sold in January.
Sanchez further said that he thinks Lacazette has all the attributes to be successful in England and two of them work extremely well.
The Chilean also revealed that he likes the way the former Lyon man finds space in the middle and understands the game.
Incidentally, Lacazette also heaped praises on his Chilean teammate a few days earlier. The France international also said that presence of Alexis Sanchez played a part in his decision to come at Arsenal.
Sanchez may leave Arsenal this January
The pair can thrive to the optimum only if Sanchez extends his contract at Arsenal, which seems to be a very difficult thing to happen at the moment. Manchester City are his main speculated destination and he might be sold as early as January if Arsenal get proper suitors and proper money.
