Chelsea are set to off load Michy Batshuayi this January and already have started to search for a possible replacement of the Belgian in Stamford Bridge. Batshuayi so far has had an ineffective season and Blues manager has seen enough of him and wants the former Marseille striker to seek pastures new.
According to reports, Chelsea boss was outraged and teared his players apart after their lackluster performance and loss against Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Eagles were without any point in the league till their win against Chelsea. Antonio Conte was not amused and he pointed out the flaws of his players and what it needs to improve, rather in an annoyed way. And they have decided that Batshuayi is not good enough for Chelsea, as the Belgian hasn’t impressed in the absence of Morata.
Batshuayi is yet to score a Premier League goal this season and was so poor last week that he was replaced by Pedro after 56 minutes. He was frustrated with the substitution but reports suggest that the Belgian was more furious with himself than his manager.
Already the London side has eyed some of their potential targets to replace Batshuayi, with Conte is interested to bring Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace. He also is an admirer of Jamie Vardy and the England international may also be a Chelsea player at the second part of this season. Also there is a speculation that the Blues may make a move for Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye and sending the scouts for their match against Arsenal in the Europa League on thursday.
Jamie Vardy is a possible signing for Chelsea
Chelsea wanted to loan out Batshuayi this summer but couldn’t let him go as the club failed to land Fernando Llorente, who joined Tottenham instead. They also sold young and promising striker Dominic Solanke to Liverpool.
Llorente joined Spurs and turned Chelsea down
With Morata injured and Batshuayi not firing, Chelsea boss Conte in a peril at the moment and would be keen to fill the void in their striking department.
