Performance:

The Pirate’s performance this season has been decent but not lethal as they used to be in the last two silverware winning seasons. Pardeep Narwal has been by far the best raider in the league and their raiding talisman, but the defense of the Pirates have sometimes let them down. In some matches, they have become complacent and that has caused them badly. In the recent matches they lost against Gujarat Fortunegiants twice and only managed a narrow win over Zone A side Dabang Delhi.

In the defense, apart from left corner Jaideep some players have made silly errors and they will have to rectify those in the coming games.

Stats:

Leading Raider: Pardeep Narwal (247 pts)

Most Super 10s: Pardeep Narwal (14)

Leading Tackles: Jaideep (51)

Super Tackles: Manish (5), Vinod Kumar (5)

Key Performers:

Pardeep Narwal: Pardeep Narwal has been the star of this league, so for the Pirates. His raiding ability has outclassed most of the defense and the Patna captain has been a force going forward. His movements, escape, skill has just been immense and a joy to watch. The ‘Dubki King’ surely is the most pivotal jigsaw in Pirate’s puzzle.

Jaideep: Left Corner Jaideep has been quite a find this year for the Pirates. His dash and block along with the anticipation of his mind has been phenomenal. This young man has 51 tackle points and eclipsed the likes of Vishal Mane in the team.
