Bengal Warriors and doing well were antonymous in the bygone seasons as the team was the worst ranked among the eight teams. But this season it has been a different story for the boys from the Land of Sundarbans.

Bengal Warriors has always been the minnow in the past seasons but this time around a complete turn around has been observed in the new look Bengal side that has been competitive and winning matches in the Pro Kabaddi League. Captained by an inspiring Surjeet Singh has been revolutionary for Warriors as they sit pretty at the top spot of Zone B in the flag end of Pro Kabaddi League.

  • Maninder Singh has been the top raider for the Warriors with 160 raid points this season.


  • Their captain fantastic Surjeet Singh is the best Right Corner defender in the world and he has been instrumental in his team’s spring this year, managed 62 tackle points that consists 7 high 5s.
  • Warriors have been unbeaten against the two time champions Patna Pirates this term, they are also without a loss against UP Yoddha and Telugu Titans who all belong to Zone B.

Key Performers:

Maninder Singh: He has been the raiding talisman for them this season and has been supported by the likes of Jang Kun, Deepak Narwal and others. Maninder’s raw power and ability to get touch points has been pivotal in Bengal’s wins and they will expect him to cause havoc in opponent defenses at the latter stages.

Surjeet Singh: Captain Surjeet not only has been the best defender, but has been an outstanding leader who has steered his troops perfectly towards glory. His block, hold and dash has all been near perfect this season and the Warriors will depend a lot on him in the play offs.



Deepak Narwal: This lanky raider has been excellent in the absence of Maninder and has given Bengal crucial points in the games. So it will be important for him to keep his shape and continue his on slot if Maninder is absent.
