Arsenal are in talks to offer a long contract to young midfielder Marcus Mcguane as Arsene Wenger is impressed by his attributes and wants to keep hold of the talented teenager. Reports are also that Manchester United and Juventus are also tracking the current situation and may make a move for him.
Gunners are often guilty of not being able to keep hold of their players and that has happened in their first team for years now. From Fabregas, Nasri who all joined their rivals to Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who are poised to join Manchester clubs next season, Arsenal have been at the receiving ends of transfer saga.
But Wenger is determined to keep hold of Mcguane, who made his Arsenal debut in an Europa League match against BATE Borisov last week, where he came on for Reiss Nelson and looked pretty decent. Mcguane a regular in Arsenal U23 side and the Gunners boss thinks he definitely is one for the future. The 18 year old’s contract expires at the end of this season and with potential suitors are waiting, the north London side will be eyeing to finalize a deal for the young midfielder. Mcguane has also represented England in the under 19 division and has the potential to become a decent footballer according to many scouts and pundits.
But Manchester United and Juventus can also be a possible destination for Mcguane to go as both the clubs are reportedly interested in him. United boss Mourinho has liked his gameplay and may plot a move for the teenager. With the likes of Robin Van Persie moving to United creating outrage among Gunners fans, Arsenal will be happy to not repeat that, now in case of a promising midfielder. Juventus are also eyeing to lure him to Italy but it all depends on the young man.
