Arsenal record signing Alexandre Lacazette has said that one of the reasons of his arrival at Arsenal was fellow teammate, Chile star Alexis Sanchez. The French striker heaped praises for his partner in crime and stated that Sanchez was influential for his decision to come at Arsenal.

Lacazette joined Arsenal this summer from French outfit Lyon and since coming at Arsenal, his life has started pretty well. The France International has scored 4 goals so far in his Arsenal career and all of his goals have come in the league, more precisely all at the Emirates.
“That’s also one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Arsenal – to play with players of Alexis’ calibre,” Lacazette told Arsenal Player.

“Just seeing him in training, I like the way he plays and his mental attitude. His approach makes me want to play alongside him – hopefully for many years.”

The partnership of the duo has excited the Gooners

He also said that he is very happy with the life at his new club and praised the club staffs and the world class facilities of the Emirates. Along with that he also mentioned that his French contingents have helped him to settle and he also feels very attached with the fans.

Speaking of the game, Lacazette said, “The main difference is that the game is a lot more physical. The pace of the game is also very different. I now really understand what it means to play box-to-box.

“Things can move so fast that you don’t have time to catch your breath or think about the next move. As I said, though, the main difference is that the game is much more physical.”

Sanchez is open to leave Arsenal next season
Arsenal fans have been excited about Lacazette Sanchez partnership and even Arsene Wenger expressed his high hopes about the duo combining in the field. So far the combination has been promising though it is still very early days. Also the Chilean’s desire to leave Arsenal may just hinder Arsenal fans from seeing the duo beyond this season.
